Journey Groups
It is in Journey Groups that people can get close enough to know each other, to care and share, to challenge and support, to confide and confess, to forgive and be forgiven, to laugh and weep together, to be accountable to each other, and to grow together. Spiritual growth does not happen in isolation. It is the result of interactive relationships. Journey Groups at New Season Church are God's gift to foster change in character and help people grow spiritually. We hope you will consider being a part of a Journey Group or Short Term Class. Our Journey Groups run on a semster basis. Thus when you sign up to be a part of a Journey Group you are signing up only for that semester and the next semester you can try anotehr group or stay with that group. We have also learned through past studies that it is important to become God’s hands and feet in the world. Class Description: Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body (the church). We are all parts of His one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. Romans 12:4-6a Did you know God has given you a gift? In fact God probably has given you more than one gift. If you want to find out about the gifts God has given you, you will not want to miss this special one night class. Finding your gifts will enable you to love and serve God and other people at work, at home, in the church and anywhere else in the world. The Spiritual Gifts are Administration, Artistry, Discernment, Evangelism, Exhortation, Faith, Giving, Hospitality, Intercession, Knowledge, Leadership, Mercy, Music/Vocal, Music/Instrumental, Shepherding, Service, Skilled Craft, Teaching and Wisdom. Like any other gifts, it is impossible to fully appreciate and make use of our spiritual until we open them. Members of the Body of Christ who have identified their Spiritual Gifts have engaged in ministries that are alive, powerful and impact their community. Come join us as we unlock our Spiritual Gifts so we can love and serve God and other people better.
